John Adams said “Facts are stubborn things and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”

Can you develop a coherent explanation for Harry’s Howlings other than pure, unadulterated partisanship?

1.1 Million Reasons to Call Reid Corrupt
The AP has reported that Reid profited from a land deal which he hid from the Senate (in violation of Senate ethics rules) and used his influence to obtain federal land swaps and rezoning to his personal benefit. Of course, in the Reid World, he did nothing wrong.

Abramoff Ties
As more details of Harry's ties to lobbyist Jack Abramoff become visible, the Harry's hypocrisy on this scandal becomes even more evident. No wonder the DNC says that Harry and his family are the symbol of what is wrong in Washington.

Against Real Reform
The insincerity of Harry Reid’s calls for reform is established by his own words and actions. Although he received, and refuses to return, over $68,000 in Abramoff affiliated funds, Reid’s recent comments and blatant misuse of taxpayer funds demonstrate that he is the very sort of corrupt politician that needs to be removed from Washington.

Agenda of No
After a year as the minority leader, Harry has led his party no where. No is actually the operative word - democrats, under Harry's 'leadership' have become the party of 'no it alls." No to progress in Iraq, no to progress at home, not to anything proposed by President Bush. Pavlov's dogs salivated when a bell was rung; Harry and his Harpies just say no whenever President Bush speaks or when there is good news for America. Pretending to have an agenda when all one does is obstruct is the ultimate hypocrisy.

ANWR Lies

Corruption or Coincidence
While the democrats bray about a "culture of corruption" they neglect to point out that their leadership, including Nevada's embarassing senior Senator, has ties to Abramoff.

Credibility (Or Lack Thereof)
Harry was on KNPR radio in Nevada on Friday, 23 December, making more false statements about pre-war intelligence and post war success. Embracing the Hermann Goering School of Partisan Political Rhetoric, Harry and his Harpies believe that, if they tell a big enough lie often enough, people will accept it as truth. Of course, to live in this obstructionist world, one must refuse to learn the facts. In addition to not reading the National Intelligence Estimate before the war, they cannot be bothered to read the reports issued after the war. They claim to support the troops, but refuse to acknowledge the success of the troops. Below is a short sample of some of his mistatements.

Democrat Defeatism
Only as we reflect on the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, can we fully comprehend the depths of democrat defeatism. In 1941, a democrat President became a war time leader and received the support of the opposition Republican Party on national security issues. Today a Republican war time leader must fight both the enemy abroad and the defeatist opposition at home. The 2004 democrat candidate for President was unfit to command. Because today’s democrat “leadership” considers national security just another partisan tool, they continue to demonstrate that they are unfit to lead. We do not know where Harry stands on this, but the picture of Harry briefing his harpies on the democrat Iraq strategy says it all.

Iraq
The administration has expressed a consistent approach to the war in Iraq since the end of major combat orperations. On many occasions, Harry and his Harpies have issued statements calling for a similar approach. They condemn or support the plan for victory in Iraq based solely on their evaluation of potential political advantage. One democrat leader did not know the meaning of the word “is”; Harry and his Harpies do not seem to know the meaning of the word “plan.”

The Patriot Act
Harry was all smiles when the Patriot Act was signed and now rejoices in its defeat. More evidence that in his mind, partisan politics trumps national security.

WMD
Harry and many of the Harpies are on record expressing concern about Saddam Hussein and weapons of mass destruction as far back as 1992. The simple fact is they had access to the pre-war intelligence and drew the same conclusions as President George Herbert Walker Bush, President Bill Clinton, and President George W. Bush. President Bush has carried out the national policy established by President Clinton and supported by Harry and most of the Harpies. Although the pre-war intelligence has not changed, Harry leads the Harpies in their partisan howling to try to re-write history.
