In the near future, Nevada’s embarrassing senior Senator Harry Reid will visit your community to carry a theme of “honest leadership.” Be careful of whom he supports for office in your state.
In the 2000 elections, Harry Reid promoted two of his protégés for elected office here in Nevada. One was Dario Herrera for Congress; the other was Erin Kenny for Lieutenant Governor. Reid praised Herrera for his ‘integrity’ and expressed his admiration for Kenny’s ‘set of principles.’ Fortunately for the state of Nevada, both lost. Since the election, Reid protégés Herrera and Kenny have both been indicted on federal corruption charges. Reid protégé Kenny has already pled guilty and admitted to taking over $200,000 in illegal payments.
Although he claims that the Abramoff scandal is a Republican problem, he accepted over $65,000 from Abramoff and his allies. Somehow, his acceptance of funds is a coincidence, yet Republican acceptance of funds is evidence of corruption. He condemns Republicans who are investigated, but not indicted, yet continues to support democrats who are indicted. Senator Reid has done an excellent job of delivering pork to his family and friends, but a recent report shows that Nevada is last in receiving federal tax dollars.
The Nevada Republican Party is documenting Harry’s Hypocrisy at The Reid World, located at www.thereidworld.com. Because he has no credibility left in Nevada, Senator Reid is taking his hypocrisy tour on the road, saying things to you he will not say in his home state. The heat of the national spotlight has stripped away his thin veneer of ‘leadership’ revealing a political hack. Scrutinize what he says and whom he supports; his ‘standards’ for selecting protégés are very suspect. Senator Reid has become an embarrassment to Nevada. We urge you not to let him taint your political process.

On his recent hypocrisy tour, Harry said: "Every one of these dollars, I have looked at closely," Reid said in defending his decision to keep the donations, which he claims are not tainted by Abramoff. Reid said the donations stem from his support of tribes in Nevada. See the full article at

So, if we understand it, Harry can keep his Abramoff Affiliated Cash because Nevada Indian Tribes now include tribes in California, Louisiana, Michigan and Mississippi.
Assuming you buy that story, he only accounts for , what about $50,000 of his Abramoff Affiliated cash. What about the other $18,000 from the Abramoff lobby firm?
What about his close personal ties with Abramoff lobbyists?

Edward Ayoob is a former veteran legislative aide to Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, hired as a lobbyist by Abramoff.
Reid, who undertook several actions favorable to Abramoff's clients, ultimately received more than $66,000 in Abramoff-related donations from 2001 to 2004.
Ayoob held a fundraising reception for Reid at the offices of Abramoff's firm, Greenberg Traurig.
