Reid Takes Credit for Passing the Bill He Took Credit for Killing
Las Vegas, NV: State Republican Party Chairman Paul Adams issued the following statement in response to Senator Reid’s newly revised stance on the Patriot Act:
“In a shameful demonstration of partisan duplicity, Nevada’s embarrassing senior Senator Harry Reid took credit for passing the Patriot Act not 4 months after bragging that he ‘had killed it’. Reid led the effort to obstruct and delay the extension of the Patriot Act, proudly proclaiming that his killing of this important act was a good thing. Recently, he shamelessly circulated an email taking credit for the provisions of the Act that address methamphetamines. Reid’s willingness to play partisan politics with national security, the war on terror, and the war on drugs, and his willingness to risk the safety of our troops, our fellow citizens and our children for partisan advantage is downright despicable. Nevada can do better.”
